CHS represented at UCO Black Male Summitt

Cristie Oliver, CPS Graduation Coach, and Milton Bowens, CPS Curriculum Coordinator,  accompanied these 12 young men to the 6th Annual Black Male Summit at UCO, Wednesday, Nov. 17th.  The theme for the annual event was "The Bigger Picture."   The summit  was constructed to allow young Black Males to discover their identity and reimagine their futures regardless of cultural and systemic barriers. They were also presented opportunities to visit representatives from UCO regarding post secondary opportunities on their campus.  Current UCO student and Chickasha graduate, Diallo Foster, was one of student organizers for this event.  This will hopefully be an annual trip as they focus on high school students committed to personal and educational growth.
