CPS Announces BWECC Principal

Chickasha Public Schools welcomes Amanda Townley as Bill Wallace Early Childhood Building Principal. Mrs. Townley has worked in education for 14 years. She began her career in the Middle School Science classroom and served as University Interscholastic League Science Coach. During this tenure she developed resources for labs and provided professional development to colleagues. After five years of teaching, she moved into administrative positions, serving as an assistant principal for three years and a head principal for the past six years at Crestview Elementary in Graham ISD, Texas.
Mrs. Townley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. Her certifications include Texas Principal, Texas Life Science and Science.
When asked about her new position, Mrs. Townley responded, “I am excited to impact the future of our students by providing a strong foundation. A solid early childhood education sets a student up for success in their life as a student. I am excited to grow as an educator in the nurturing environment of BWECC and CPS. I am looking forward to being an active part of the community of Chickasha.” As Principal she also states her goals are “to get to know the amazing staff and students at BWECC so we can continue to highlight our strengths and strengthen our weaknesses.” She is also eager to work collaboratively to grow the students (academically, socially, and emotionally) all the while fostering their creativity and curiosity.
In her free time, Mrs. Townley enjoys reading, knitting, listening to podcasts, singing worship songs and walking their two beloved family pets. She would also love to explore beekeeping now that she and her husband, John have moved to Oklahoma. They have lived in Graham, Texas for the entirety of their marriage. They raised their two children, Mac and Aimee, in Graham. Their children are both now attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. The Townleys cannot wait to complete their move to Oklahoma.
