CPS Welcomes a Familiar Face in a New Role
Chickasha Public Schools introduces Angie Morgan as the new Principal at Lincoln Elementary. Mrs. Morgan is a long-time Fightin' Chick. A lifetime educator of thirty-one years, she has spent seventeen of those years in our District. Those years have included teaching at Grand Avenue, Southwest Elementary and Lincoln Elementary. Mrs. Morgan has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach and Assistant Principal. Mrs. Morgan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Science and Arts in Education and a Masters in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State.
When asked what her favorite thing about working for CPS, her immediate response was "our kids and staff, also our uniqueness of being the only Fightin' Chicks in the nation. I am excited to be the Lincoln principal because it allows me to have a greater impact on students by making sure all children have the opportunity to learn and grow to reach their potential. My main goal will be for our students to grow academically; this tween age is difficult, and with Lincoln being a transition building from Grand to CMS, our job is to help them to grow in all areas preparing them for what is ahead and have some fun while doing it."
In her spare time, Mrs. Morgan can be found in her garden and canning her State Fair Ribbon winning vegetables and salsa. She and her husband, Roger, have four children, three of which are CHS graduates. They also love spending time running after their six grandchildren. Welcome to your new role, Mrs. Morgan. We are excited for the future!
