CPS Staff Reception Honorees
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe annual CPS Staff Reception was held yesterday afternoon. This event is planned by the Professional Development Committee and is highlighted by honoring many of our own. Megan Drennan and Lisa Youngblood, PD Committee Co-Chairmen, were the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. 2023 retirees were announced and presented plaques by Superintendent Rick Croslin. These include Kent Barker, Tressia Meeks, Bill Voorhies and Nancy Waters. A new award was established this year; The ABCD Award. This award acknowledges Fightin' Chicks in each building who go above and beyond their job descriptions daily. Representing this award from each building were: BWECC - Charlotte Moore, Grand - Lindsey Kemp, Lincoln - Melissa Nye, CMS- Charlotte Tapp, CHS - Teresa Russell, QA/ALC - Michelle Fleetwood, Central Kitchen - Megan Colvin, Transportation - Deborah Bryant, Maintenance - Mark Crowder, and Administration - Aubrey Mills. Donya Charlson acknowledged teachers from each site who were being recognized by The JOM Parent Commitee for their support and dedication to our Native Students. These teachers included: BWECC - Cassidy Edwards, Grand - Jennifer Phillips, Lincoln - Tish Kennedy, CMS - Shannon Gibson and CHS - Walter Kendrick. The Parent Committee also presented District Administration with a gift of appreciation for the support for our Native students. District Teacher of the Year, Sharita Brown and District Support Employee of the Year, Eric Golightly, Sr. were honored again by the District and Mr. Croslin for their accomplishments. Support Employee of the Quarter was also presented with an award, Deborah Bryant. Service pins were also presented to employees as follows: 5 YEARS OF SERVICE: Deborah Bryant, Rosalind Alexander, Jessica Barron, Tamara Buchanan, Angela Davis, Debby Davis, Megan Drennan, Olivia Elliott, Lauren Whatley, Lisa Youngblood, Leta Pruitt, Chris Robbins 10 YEARS OF SERVICE: Becky Kent, Mike Minards, Darla Williams, Christina Reader 15 YEARS OF SERVICE: Jerry Don Bray, Travis Parish, Claudia Smith, Kent Reed, Kim Radford 20 YEARS OF SERVICE: Michele Castleberry, Christina Cook, Kent Barker, Joanie, McDonald, Cynthia Turer, Linda Reed, Eric Golightly Sr. 25 YEARS OF SERVICE: Jennifer Willis, Trish Smith 30 YEARS OF SERVICE: Otto Reinhart, Susan Cerny We are extremely thankful for all of our employees and their many years of service to our students and our community. We would like to thank the Professional Development Committee for a time for honoring our own. We would also like to thank CPS' Food service for the excellent food. It is ALWAYS a great time to be a Fightin' Chick!!!!!
