CPS Announces Grand Ave Assistant Principal
We are very pleased to announce that Amy Adams will be serving our District as Assistant Principal at Grand Avenue Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Adams is no stranger to Chickasha Public Schools, specifically Grand Avenue. She served in our District for nine years as a classroom teacher and Dean of Virtual Students. She is an eighteen year veteran in elementary education teaching in grades Pre-K through 6th grades. Mrs. Adams is currently completing the 21-22 school year as an Interventionist for the Moore Public Schools.
Mrs. Adams holds a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Educational Administration. Her certifications include Elementary Teaching and Principal.
When asked her favorite thing about working for CPS, she responded, "I love the community of Chickasha. The teachers, students, and families are near and dear to me." She also expressed excitement over returning to a school she taught at for nine years, working with some of the very best teachers she has ever had the opportunity to work with. She is eager to have the opportunity to highlight their strengths. Mrs. Adams admits one of her goals for her new role is remaining committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students. "I am committed to working collaboratively with teachers on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to young students learning and growing in the classroom."
In her spare time, Mrs. Adams enjoys reading and watching her two children in their Fightin' Chick sporting events. Hudson is on the Football and Powerlifting team. While Eva is on the MS Pom team.
Help us welcome Amy Adams back to the Fightin' Chick Family!!
