CHS Students Attend Black Male Summit
The 2023 Black Male Summit offers high school and college students who are committed to personal, academic and professional development an opportunity to connect, get inspired, and grow. This year's conference was attended by several representatives from Chickasha High School. During the conference, the students engaged in unique, creative, and interactive presentations that speak to the Black male experience. Topics ranged from higher education, Black male masculinity, community building, mental and physical health, the school-to-prison pipeline, voting and politics, sports, entrepreneurship, social justice and advocacy. The conference was in the Nigh Center on the University of Central Oklahoma. Our students were sponsored by Cristie Oliver, Graduation Coach, and Milton Bowens, CPS Curriculum Coordinator.
