CPS Announces Instructional Resource Specialist
We are excited to announce that Rhonda Snow will be serving as the Instructional Resource Specialist for our District beginning in 2022-2023. Mrs. Snow began with Chickasha in 2013 as high school assistant principal. She became CHS head principal in June of 2018 and served in that role until now. She began her career in education, teaching two years at Moore Christian School. Mrs. Snow worked in Moore Public Schools as a Reading Specialist and classroom teacher for 13 years. She was also a Claims Examiner for the Department of Defense at Tinker Air Force Base and spent a year as a graduate Assistant at U.C.O.
Mrs. Snow holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University and Master Degrees as a Reading Specialist and in Educational Leadership from University of Central Oklahoma. Her certifications include Elementary Education, Language Arts and Principal.
Mrs. Snow's favorite thing about working for Chickasha is the amazing team of people she works alongside. As a high school principal, she loved watching the students become leaders and good citizens. As she looks forward to her new role, Mrs Snow says "I am excited to work with new teachers and help them navigate the certification requirements, develop good classroom management skills, and become awesome instructional leaders." She will also be working with our students, who choose a virtual environment, in being successful in navigating the digital classroom. Her goal as the Instructional Resource Specialist is to assist new teachers in building relationships with students and develop confidence in teaching.
In her spare time, Mrs. Snow enjoys traveling with her family and reading. She loves to combine those two favorites by traveling to the beach with her favorite book and feeling the sand between her toes. She and her husband, Donny, have been married for 16 years and have a blended family of five adult kids. They have eight surviving grandchildren that they love spending time with. The youngest grandchild is four years old spanning to a Senior graduating from high school in 2023.
Please help us in welcoming Mrs.Snow into this new role! She will continue doing great things for our District!
