Celebrating One of Our Own - Tom Brack
Tom Brack was recently inducted into the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Tom currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Chickasha High School. However, previously Mr. Brack was known as "Coach Brack" for 35 years. During that amazing tenure as an Oklahoma High School Wrestling Coach, he began and ended his long career coaching at Duncan Public Schools. He also coached 12 years at Comanche Public Schools and then began the wrestling program at Marlow Schools.
As a high school student, Mr. Brack was a 4 time State Finalist and a State Champion at Geary Schools. During his coaching years, he was name Oklahoma Wrestling Coaches Association (OWCA) Coach of the Year three times, Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) All-State Coach, OCA Regional Coach of the Year and Oklahoma Officials Association Coach of the Year. In addition to those honors, Coach Brack's teams were 11-time State Runner-ups, 2-time State Champs, 7-time Regional Champs, 15 Dual State District Champs and 408 Dual Winners. (Yes, that was four hundred and eight!) Among his wrestlers, 169 were State Qualifiers with 100 of them placing and 27 of those were State Champions! O.W.C.A. honored 18 of them as All-Staters and 5 were All-American.
Chickasha Public Schools is very proud of Coach Tom Brack and his many accomplishments. His spot in the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame is well-deserved. Congratulations, Sir!!! We appreciate you and all you do for our District.
