CHS Moves to Virtual for One Day
Superintendent Rick Croslin announced in a phone message to all parents yesterday that Chickasha High School will be moving to Virtual Learning on Friday, January 6th.
The transcript of the message is as follows:
"A water main break was recently discovered on the campus of Chickasha High School. Planned repairs for
this break will begin on Friday, January 6, 2023 and hopefully will be completed over the weekend. With that said,
only Chickasha High School will be in virtual classes for Friday, January 6 th . All other sites will still be
in-person but will have a limited menu for breakfast and lunch. We apologize for any inconvenience
but know we are working with the City of Chickasha to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
Chickasha High School should return to in-person learning on Monday, January 9 th ."
All other sites are "In-Person Learning" as usual, including the Quality Academy. School busses will run for each of those sites as usual. Currently, the water line break is not impacting any facilities or services at the high school. However, during repairs, the water will be shut off to all of the buildings on campus. This includes, athletics buildings, central kitchen and the activity center. The 7th grade basketball tournament games will be played at Myers on Friday, January 6th. They could move the games Saturday back to the activity center IF repairs are complete.
We appreciate your understanding in this situation. If you have more questions, please contact your child's building.
